As a form of harmonization with the environment for the sake of Indonesia’s future generations, this commitment is realized by implementing Solar Power Plants (PLTS) with a total capacity of 340.36 kWp consisting of Plant Maintenance Workshops of 47.96 kWp; Solar Farming Lower Area of 149.6 kWp; and Solar Farming Upper Area of 142.8 kWp and Battery of 60 kWh which was inaugurated on November 21, 2023.

This PLTS installation is expected to reduce carbon emissions in the Coal Mining area by up to 245 tons of CO2 every year. TH Puguh Sasetyo, CSR & General Affairs Division Head of PAMA said, his party is grateful to be able to implement Solar panels at the PAMA BAYA Site in realizing cleaner and more sustainable energy utilization. “This is a form of commitment in maintaining environmental sustainability in line with PAMA’s vision,” he said in a press release, Tuesday (21/11).

Eko Harry Ariadin, Director of EPN stated, “Focusing on the principles of sustainability, we are committed to inviting mining industry stakeholders to implement a clean energy mix by taking into account environmental, economic, social, and good governance aspects. The installation of this solar panel technology is a tangible manifestation of our capabilities, competence and dedication to contribute to creating a better future by decarbonizing Coal Mining operations.”

EPN hopes that the solar panel installation cooperation with PAMA can also increase synergy and positive collaboration on the goal of reducing carbon emissions in the Coal Mining Operations area, while maintaining a harmonious relationship with the environment for a better future generation of Indonesia.
