(UT), through one of its subsidiaries, PT Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN), engaged in power generation and renewable energy services, achieved a remarkable milestone in its history by receiving awards at the 8th Stellar Workplace Award in 2023. EPN was represented by Mr. Sukendi, the Human Capital & General Services Dept. Head, on behalf of Ms. Chinthya Theresa Am, the President Director of EPN. The theme for the representation was “New Gen Engagement & Branding,” aiming to create a positive image in the value proposition to attract and develop young talents. EPN was honored with two awards at the event, reflecting its outstanding achievements in fostering a responsible work environment and satisfying its employees.

The first award received by EPN was the Stellar Workplace Recognition in Employee Commitment, given to companies with a HIGH employee commitment index, indicating their extra-mile contributions to the company’s success. The second award was the Stellar Workplace Recognition in Employee Satisfaction, presented to companies with a HIGH employee satisfaction index, as reflected in their positive statements about the company to colleagues and EPN customers.
“Through this award, we hope to further increase engagement among employees with various positive programs continuously promoted within the EPN environment. Moreover, with high levels of commitment and satisfaction, achieving the organization’s performance indicators becomes easier,” explained Sukendi. He also added that leadership style is a crucial factor in the workplace. A good leader provides clear guidance, minimizes conflicts, instills fighting spirit in subordinates, and creates a harmonious work environment.
At the same event, representing the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, the Head of the Planning and Development Agency of the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Ms. Estiarty Haryani, revealed that Indonesia’s demographics have rapidly changed, with the working-age population (15-64 years) continuously increasing and reaching its peak in 2050. During this period, Indonesia will become one of the countries with the largest workforce in Asia. However, at the same time, the dependency ratio is increasing due to the growing elderly population (65 years and above). Additionally, the low levels of education and productivity make the bargaining position of Indonesian workers relatively low, posing a challenge for future organizations.
